Laptops Find Good Homes!

Our First Blog Post

Welcome to the HTI blog!

We plan on using this place to share about us, our “why” and our “how,”  but mostly we want to be able to share our exciting success stories! And we are pleased to say, we have our first few stories to share!  HTI was established with the hopes of make a difference for individuals and for communities. We know access to computers make a difference in a variety of ways (including economic opportunities and education success), so to see our first official laptop donations serve this purpose is an exciting first step.  HTI is proud to partner with Raleigh Rescue Mission, an organization that works to meet basic needs for those in Raleigh and Wake County. Their organization helped connect us to individuals and families that would really benefit from laptop acquisition. Here is what they had to say:

“I am so grateful for the Chromebook that HUBZone Technology and the Raleigh Rescue Mission have given me. It will help me out a lot.  I am going to school for my GED. THANKS.” Rodney

“I am Grateful to HUBZone Technology and the Raleigh Rescue Mission for  the Chromebook. This is such a blessing.” Harden

“I signed up to be a travel agent and this will help me to jump start my business as well as help my children learn through ABC Mouse and other school projects. Thank You“ Tiana

LaShonda was excited as well and stated “it will be used for children’s homework and completing job applications. Thank You.”

This is why we do what we do.

We would love to have you partner with us by helping get more computers into the hands of people in need.  If you have used laptops sitting at home you would like to donate, if your company or corporation is looking to upgrade their current devices, if you would like to spread the word or donate cash, we would welcome you gladly.  Check out our FAQ page for any answers to questions you may have, and go to our donation page to reach out. Your contribution can help someone else like Rodney, working toward getting his GED, or LaShonda, who is filling out job applications and helping her kids complete their homework. Old laptops create new opportunities!
